After creating your PastBook, you have all the freedom to edit the book! We offer multiple forms to add, edit and remove the captions in your book, you can also check here the limit of characters.
1. You can add or edit captions to the pictures while browsing the book. Click the button in the upper left corner – now you can flip through the pages of the digital version of your book. On each photo you will see a pencil, a star, and a trash bin
. The pencil is to “Edit moment”, the star is to “Use as cover”, the trash bin is to “Delete moment”. Click the pencil on any photo: now you can add a caption, remove it or set the photo as a cover.
You can also add captions by clicking the button in the upper, left-hand corner: it will redirect you to the editing page. Click on the photo, and “Say something about this moment…” in the space to the right of the photo. Or click on the Pencil icon to change the caption.
2. To hide the captions in your PastBook, please click on button in the upper, left-hand corner and you will find yourself on the editing page. Once on the editing page, click on
and choose “Hide titles”. Voilà – all the captions are hidden!
3. When adding new photos, you can add the captions to your photos when uploading the pictures. Click the button in the upper, left-hand corner, choose “Upload pictures” or “From social or cloud services” and select the photos you want to add to your book. You can also invite your friends to add their photos by clicking the “Invite friends” button.
When you upload photos to your PastBook, the pop-up window will ask you if you want to add the photos as full page (one photo per page) or minimized (2 photos per page). You can also check the box in the lower, right-hand corner of the pop-up to import captions – where available, titles and file names will be imported as captions. Don’t forget to check “Show titles” when editing your book (it is enabled by default).
Keep in mind, captions are hidden on 1/4 sized pictures (4 per page).
If you are using Facebook or Instagram, check out these options: Relive Your Year, Facebook by Time Range and Instagram by Time Range. They will automatically import your photos from Facebook and Instagram with captions and dates when they were taken!
